Connections - Land/Water

January 22 - March 26

Atrium Gallery announces an upcoming solo exhibition of new work by nationally known landscape artist, Ellen Glasgow, "Connections - Land/Water."  Waterways of the world offer connections joining and traversing land areas and civilizations. Rivers, oceans, lakes, wetlands, inlets and gorges pervade the earth.  Providing peaceful responses, adventure and inspiration, these are integral landscape elements which have inspired Glasgow and become a thread weaving through this newest body of work.

Glasgow has traveled extensively in Europe and also lived in Hawaii and Alaska as well as the midwest and mid-Atlantic regions and she brings these experiences to her exceptional paintings.  These are works of a mature artist whose sophisticated use of color and structure are hallmarks of her work.  Glasgow studied at Murray State University, KY, College of Albermarle, NC and the Bishop Museum, Honolulu, HI.  She currently lives and works in her beloved, native Kentucky.  After fifty years of actively painting and exhibiting, her work is included in numerous private, corporate, and public collections.
